The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency has sealed 11 establishments in Ikorodu for allegedly violating environmental regulations, including repeated cases of noise pollution and related infractions.

In a statement posted on X on Thursday, the agency said the enforcement operation covered several key areas such as Agodo Gas Line, Odogunyan Industrial Layout, Ita Oluwo Junction, Haruna, Ipakodo Road, and Ebute.

According to LASEPA, the sealed facilities include bars, lounges, hotels, and industrial companies. The affected establishments are Zero Square Bar & Lounge, Starex Poly, Oloruntele Poly, Limpex Resources, Skipper Nigeria Ltd, Star Rain Nigeria Limited, NDO Hotel & Suites, Embassy Lounge, Beechwood Guest House, Obas Hotel & Suites, and A-Star Pencil.

LASEPA’s General Manager, Dr. Babatunde Ajayi, who led the operation, reiterated the agency’s commitment to protecting public health and ensuring a safe, clean environment for all Lagos residents.

He noted that the enforcement action was necessary to safeguard the well-being of citizens and improve the overall quality of life across the state.

“Noise pollution and other environmental abuses threaten the quality of life and well-being of our people. Today’s enforcement exercise demonstrates our resolve to uphold the state’s environmental standards and promote a cleaner, healthier Lagos,” Ajayi said.

He urged residents and business operators to comply with environmental laws, adding that LASEPA will maintain its zero-tolerance stance against environmental degradation in all its forms.
