Africa International Housing Show AIHS on Friday paid a courtesy visit to NEW MATERIAL NIGERIA COMPANY LTD, a member of a Global 500enterprise, China National Building Materials Group Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “CNBM”).
Speaking during the visit to the kuje headquarters of the company , AIHS CEO, Festus Adebayo noted that the tour to NMNC is aimed at updating the company on the preparations for 17th AIHS
AIHS team were received by the Executive chairman of the company, who spoke about the products quality, benefits and why Nigeria Housing Industry need the product, after which the team was taken round the factory for inspection.

Adebayo commended the management of NMNC for creating job opportunities for Nigerians, training and retraining of their staff which Nigerians form 95%.
He also used the opportunity to call on the government to find a lasting solution to the power problem facing the country.
“If we can solve the power problem in the country, company like NMNC Ltd and other manufacturers of building materials in the housing industry will be selling at cheaper prices and create more jobs for Nigerians”.
“This can only be achieved when the issue of power is solved”.
Adebayo promised that NMNC will be included in the list of organizations that participants in the AIHS 2023 will visit on the last day of the show, which features tour and visit to prominent companies in the Housing and Construction industry.
The Chairman of New material company ltd later calls for collaboration between AIHS and his company to promote the company’s products and services.

According to NMNC, the Fibre Cement Board is one of the innovative products introduced into the housing construction sector that promises to revolutionize the way houses are built in Nigeria. The product has the potential of transforming the building sector with qualities which suit building engineers and consumers.
Nigeria’s current housing deficit is estimated at 17-20 million units. This deficit is partly driven by high cost of building materials among other factors identified by professionals in the industry. Increasing poverty, overpopulation and migration has put pressure on Nigeria’s housing woes thereby generating a need for more advanced and cost efficient materials like the Fibre Cement Board.
