Benin City Real Estate Employee Arrested for Alleged Self-Abduction

In a recent development, operatives of the Edo State Police Command have apprehended Blessing Ogunu, an employee of Bliss Legacy Limited, a prominent real estate company based in Benin City. The arrest was made on suspicion of self-abduction.

As disclosed by the Public Relations Officer of the command, Chidi Nwabuzor, to reporters in Benin City, two other individuals, Esther Anthony and Ukpebor Joel, were also detained for their alleged involvement in the conspiracy.

According to Nwabuzor, Blessing Ogunu purportedly orchestrated her own abduction and subsequently demanded a ransom of N4.8 million for her release.

The arrest was made possible through the diligent efforts of the anti-kidnapping and crime unit, employing advanced technical intelligence.

The police spokesperson elaborated that the Anti-Kidnapping and Cyber Crime Unit received a report from Samuel Prince Omomuzo, residing at No. 102 Ihama Road, GRA, Benin City. Omomuzo reported the alleged kidnapping of Blessing Ogunu, an employee of Bliss Legacy Limited, Benin City, and the subsequent ransom demand.

Further investigation revealed that Blessing Ogunu confessed to orchestrating her own abduction due to a dispute with her company regarding the allocation of land to a customer who had already paid for it.

Nwabuzor confirmed that the suspects will soon face charges in court as the investigation progresses.
