Neelds Realty Limited, a fast-growing multi-service real estate development company, performed its ground-breaking ceremony on Monday at Katampe Extension, Abuja.

The MD/CEO, Abubakar Sadiq Mohammed, said the project, Neelds Place 1, aimed to provide eco-centric homes using renewable energy and recyclable products.

“From the structures we have put together, we’re hoping to construct and provide eco-centric homes based on the new global trends we see where homes are now being built to preserve the ecosystem ecology and things like that so using renewable energy, using recyclable products, these are all part of the eco-centric living that we talk about so and that’s one of the things that has driven us with respect to our project and in respect to this particular site which is the flagship project for the company and we hope that from this we will grow to have many more companies in the future that would help and also partake in our activities God willing”, he said.

He further said the company was working in partnership with a Turkish firm integrated into Neelds Realty as well to provide quality eco-friendly materials such as sanitary wares, and green guard tiles.

Speaking on the partnership, he said “The idea is looking at getting some of the best quality finishing and fittings, from the sanitary ware to the tiling we were able to source and get green guard tiles, now green guard tiles are tiles that are certified eco-friendly and recyclable which we would use for our homes and I would add part of the advantage of staying in such a quality build from this particular axis now because they are slightly higher end but relatively affordable within the realm of what we find in this particular location of the Katampe extension, it still gives us the ability to see the trends and also see the prospective future and what potentially will come on board once we’re able to deliver this project. So the Turkish partnership is a very strategic one and it’s probably the first of its kind it’s hoping to look at not just this project but even many more projects to come as we plan for the future.”

One of the Turkish Partners, Mr Alman Kuch, revealed that their company has different projects in different countries and currently partnering with Neelds Realty in Abuja, Nigeria to enhance the quality of production and construction of buildings as well as new projects in the future to improve cooperation thus a fruitful collaboration between Turkey and Nigeria, with assurances of future partnerships as the construction industry is leading in Turkey.

The Chief Operating Officer, Arc Agatha Irabor, said the company focuses on eco-friendly, energy-efficient and sustainable buildings. She continued by saying although there are already a lot of real estate firms, Neelds Realty seeks to stand out by providing buildings that do not take a toll on the environment alongside an infusion of technology.
