The CEO of Africa’s largest housing and construction EXPO, Africa International Housing Show (AIHS), Festus Adebayo says Vice President Kashim Shettima of the Federal Republic of Nigeria will declare the 17th edition of Africa International Housing Show (AIHS), scheduled for 24 – 27 July 2023 open.

The event with the theme, “Beyond Rhetoric to Homes: Making Housing Happen” would be held at the International Conference Center, Abuja.

The theme is a call for practical activities in the housing industry, mortgage sector, social housing, land allocation, access and development, and housing finance, among others which is coming at a time when Nigeria is graced with a new administration.

With over 26 international guest speakers, over 400 exhibitors, and with participants from not less than 15 countries, the event is expected to present housing market forecasts as well as evaluate issues related to housing deficit, housing data, and green housing, among other issues affecting the housing industry and nation at large.

According to Adebayo, the 2023 edition of the event will help showcase and develop ideas, inventions, and innovations that will transform Nigeria’s housing sector.

Adebayo explained that the essence of the event is to explore more ways to solve the housing challenge in Nigeria delivery, and foster public-private partnership, adding that more wealth and revenue will be available to the nation when governments at all levels fully understand the multiplier effects of housing on the nation’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
