The residents of the Iworoko Ekiti community in Ekiti State experienced a heavy flood on Saturday, September 8, 2023. The flood, which was caused by a downpour, covered bridges that connected two streets together, making it difficult for people to move around.

This is not the first time that Iworoko Ekiti has experienced a flood. In 2019, a flood caused damage to property, including homes and businesses, and forced some residents to evacuate their homes.

Another resident, Mr. Adebayo Adeola, said that he was trapped in his home for several hours before he was able to go for his evening duty.
