International and regional investors are turning their attention to West Africa’s $668 billion infrastructure market as dmg events prepares to host two major exhibitions in Lagos next year.
The West Africa Infrastructure Expo and HVACR Nigeria are scheduled for April 7–9, 2026, with organisers saying the events will spotlight opportunities in transport, power, water, waste management, digital infrastructure, and sustainable urban development.
“dmg events expands in Africa with two new shows in Lagos,” the organisers announced, noting that the exhibitions will draw government officials, investors, and industry stakeholders to discuss both infrastructure expansion and energy-efficient technologies.
Matt Denton, President of dmg events, said rapid urbanisation and climate challenges were reshaping West Africa’s future and driving demand for new solutions.
“With West Africa Infrastructure Expo and HVACR Nigeria, we are creating platforms that showcase opportunities while addressing climate-conscious technologies alongside infrastructure needs,” he said.
Projects expected to feature at the expo include the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Railway, the Abidjan-Lagos Corridor Highway, the Escravos Seaport Industrial Complex, and the Africa Data Centre in Accra. The agenda also aligns with Nigeria’s National Integrated Infrastructure Master Plan, which seeks to raise infrastructure stock to 70 percent of GDP by 2043.
Running alongside, HVACR Nigeria will focus on the fast-growing demand for energy-efficient heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. According to Statista, Nigeria’s HVACR sector is projected to grow at an annual rate of 8.78 percent between 2025 and 2029, fueled by urbanisation and industrial needs.
Organisers said the exhibitions will provide a platform for international solution providers and local businesses to collaborate and support West Africa’s long-term development goals.
