In a spectacular highlight of the Nigerian Institute of Architects Abuja Chapter’s (NIAABC) 40th Anniversary Celebrations, Housing TV Africa was celebrated with the Media Award on August 9, 2024.
This prestigious accolade was presented at the Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja during an event that illuminated the theme “Architecture Unlimited: Yesterday’s Lessons, Today’s Experience, Tomorrow’s Blocks.”
The award recognized Housing TV Africa’s outstanding role in showcasing and advancing architectural discourse through its impactful media coverage as the first specialised television on housing in Africa.
The three-day event, held from August 8th to 10th, 2024, offered an in-depth look at architectural evolution, current trends, and future possibilities.
The anniversary celebrations featured a series of activities including keynote speeches, panel discussions, and networking opportunities, providing a platform for industry leaders and professionals to exchange ideas and reflect on the progress of the field.
The NIAABC Annual Awards ceremony, a focal point of the festivities, honored Housing TV Africa for its exceptional commitment to promoting architectural developments and projects. The award highlighted the media organization’s significant influence in shaping public understanding and appreciation of architecture.
Chair of the NIA Abuja Chapter, Yemi Sola Adebiyi, FNIA, presented the award to Housing TV Africa, commending their dedication and impact. In her address, Adebiyi praised Housing TV Africa for its crucial role in advancing architectural conversations and engaging the public with the field’s latest achievements.
