Earlier, the prosecutor, Mr Chinedu Ogada, told the court that on January 9, the defendant and one Robert Obi, now at large, collected N130,000 from the complainant and rented out a self-contained apartment for him at Dutse-Baupma.

He said that on January 17, when the complainant went to the house, he discovered that the defendant had given the room to another person and refused to refund his money. (NAN)
