The AIHS CEO also noted that it was during as Senator Izunaso’s tenure as the Senate Committee Chairman on Gas that the issue of gas flaring in Nigeria got national and international attention and was addressed even as Nigerians were sensitized on the abundance of gas in Nigeria, and the need to draw up a comprehensive gas policy.

“There is no doubt in my mind that this national award from the President will encourage you to do more for the people of Imo State in particular and Nigerians in general.”

While congratulating Senator Izunaso, Mr Adebayo also called on the good people of Imo State to rally round Senator Izunaso during the forthcoming 2023 general elections and ensure that he emerges victorious in his bid to return back to the Senate as “such persons with good heart, who are people-oriented are what we need in various seats of power to drive the nation forward.”
