Another Building Collapse Claims Seven Lives In Jigawa

Another building collapse in Jigawa State has killed seven people and injured one.

DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, a police spokesman, confirmed the incident to Journalists.

Shiisu stated that the building collapsed due to a heavy downpour that lasted for hours.

He stated that the incident occurred Saturday morning around 05:47hrs, when a local mud building collapsed in Bursali village Birniwa local Government area of Jigawa State.

He claimed that seven people died on the spot and that one person was injured.

Shiisu stated that detectives rushed to the scene and transported the victims to Birniwa General Hospital, where a medical doctor confirmed their deaths.

He stated that the other injured person is being treated.
