As Nigeria marks the second anniversary of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, Deputy Senate President Senator Barau Jibrin has lauded the President’s leadership, highlighting significant strides in national development.
In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir, Senator Barau commended President Tinubu for implementing bold reforms aimed at addressing the country’s pressing challenges, particularly in the areas of security and the economy.
“Under President Tinubu’s visionary leadership, Nigeria has been repositioned on the path to prosperity,” Senator Barau stated. He emphasized that despite inheriting substantial challenges, the administration has initiated targeted policies to surmount them, laying the foundation for the nation’s return to its “glorious days.”
Senator Barau highlighted improvements in national security, noting that areas previously plagued by insecurity have seen significant progress. He also pointed to economic reforms that have begun to stabilize the nation’s fiscal landscape.
Furthermore, he expressed optimism about the establishment of development commissions across various geopolitical zones, which he believes will accelerate regional growth and development. He also acknowledged the creation of several tertiary health and educational institutions aimed at increasing access to essential services.
Senator Barau reiterated the National Assembly’s commitment to supporting President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, aiming to consolidate the gains recorded over the past two years and ensure continued progress for Nigeria.
