The Centre for Affordable Housing Finance in Africa (CAHF) and Nigeria Mortgage Refinance Company (NMRC) strategic workshop on housing data will hold in Abuja on Tuesday, 4th of February, 2020.
The one -day workshop will take place at the Shehu Musa Yar’adua Centre and aimed at discussing key issues relating to the role of data and market analytics to support Nigeria’s affordable housing sector.
The event is free of charge for members of the National Real Estate Data Collection and all leading stakeholders in the mortgage and housing sector in Nigeria.
The meeting, according to the organizers, is part of ongoing engagements with stakeholders in Nigeria’s housing and housing finance sectors for better understanding of the nation`s housing sector.
The workshop will assist public sector officials, investors and other market players to mobilise and stimulate the residential property market through in-depth analysis and market intelligence.
The purpose of the meeting is to engage on a data-led approach to unlocking investment opportunities along Nigeria’s housing value chain.
The workshop will also discuss ongoing research on Nigeria’s housing and finance sectors, including the Housing Market Information Portal, and the National Real Estate Data Collation Programme.
Having access to accurate data in the housing sector will help end the speculation as to the number of housing deficit in the country and put the government on their toes in addressing the issue.
In addition, availability and accessibility to timely accurate data is germane to the operation of the property market, in the field of estate surveying and valuation either for valuation/appraisal, management and agency purposes.
The event is supported by National Real Estate Data Collation and Abuja International Housing Show owners of Housing Development Programme on Africa Independent Television (AIT) and Television Continental (TVC).
