The General Manager Projects, Urban Shelter Limited, Bachir Abba, has joined other housing stakeholders, in embracing the innovation, of the Digital Abuja International Housing Show (AIHS), as a means of adapting to the covid-19 new normal.
Abba made this known in a webinar recently held by the Housing Development Advocacy Network (HDAN), with theme, Imperatives Of Virtual Exhibitions: Digital AIHS 2020 as a case study.
He emphasized the importance of digitization, for every stakeholder in the industry, while stressing on the need to key into the AIHS 2020 virtual exhibition and construction.
“Reaching beyond your boundary is priceless. We in Urban shelter, we’ve been really working hard for the past few years, to reach out to diaspora. We’ve been doing a lot of work joining the U.K, Canada, China, to be able to get that reach and I think with the opportunity you have given us for the Abuja International Housing Show 2020, reduces tremendously the amount it will cost, doing that alone. Right now, we have a great platform AIHS 2020, going online, everybody can reach it, that’s something to be proud of”.
“At urban shelter, I think the past 6-7 years, we’ve been doing a lot of online reach out, going online, that was not because we had issues with our clients, the main purpose was to expose the company to a lot bigger audience, to be able to go borderless”, as he hinted, on the ways the company has engaged information technology, over the years.
Abba expressed his excitement about the event, as he stated, some of the numerous benefits of a virtual AIHS, reiterating the competence and efficiency of the Digital AIHS 2020 organizers, for a seamless experience. “I’m excited about this, we look forward to AIHS 2020, and we are looking forward to reaching the world at once”. “You don’t have to leave your house or leave your office to get to the exhibition”.
He however urged all stakeholders, to seek customers’ satisfaction, while making efforts to reach more audience, adding that “at the end of the day, it is all about reaching the customer, the client, that’s what we are all looking for, so long as the customer is happy, we are all happy in this industry”.
The Director of The Abuja International Housing Show, who has also been the moderator of HDAN webinar series, Barr. Festus Adebayo, announced through the platform that henceforth, the show would be held as both a virtual and physical exhibition and conference, at different times annually, in other to allow for the participation of a global audience.
