MBAN To Host 2022 Annual CEOs’ Retreat From Nov 25-27

Hosted by the Mortgage Banking Association of Nigeria (MBAN), a Mortgage Banking Sub-Sector CEOs’ Annual Retreat, is set to be held in Lagos from November 25 to 27, 2022.

According to the Executive Secretary/CEO of MBAN, Kayode Omotoso, the Annual Retreat with the theme; ‘30 Years and Growing Stronger – Looking Ahead Towards Building a Sustainable Future and Developing a World-Class Housing Finance System for Nigeria Through innovation, Transformation and Environmental Sustainability’ will be held via Hybrid of Virtual and ln-person Platforms.

“The retreat has become the flagship event organized as an annual affair by our Association to create a platform for the Chief Executive Officers and management Staff of Mortgage Banks and Mortgage brokerage Companies; Statutory Regulatory Agencies, i.e. Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC); Federal And State Governments/Policy Makers as well as Other Stakeholders to rub minds, exchange ideas and deliberate on issues that are strategic tcl Mortgage banking/Housing Finance and Urban Development in Nigeria.

“Even though there is gradual return to life Post COVID-19 Pandemic, we are organizing the year 2022 Mortgage Banking Sub-sector CEOs’ Annual Retreat on Hybrid of Virtual/ln person basis, to accommodate the preferences of Stakeholders and have also modified the programme of Events to accommodate both scenarios”, Omotoso revealed.

The 2022 edition of the Annual Retreat will feature top industry experts from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN), Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN), Nigeria Mortgage Refinance Company (NMRC), Mortgage Warehousing Funding Limited (MWFL), and Family Homes Funds Limited (FHFL), among others. MBAN has also announced FESADEB Media Group, a leading media outfit in Nigeria’s housing and construction sector as its media partner.

Series of interactive sessions have been mapped out where salient issues will be discussed, as well as proffer solutions to challenges limiting housing finance accessibility and mass housing production in the country.

Also, there will be a side event marking the 30th anniversary of the association on Saturday 26th of November with the official launching of MBAN Compendium.
