His Eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Saád Abubakar II, has complained about the bad roads in Kano state, saying that it took him several hours to travel from just Fanisau to Bichi.

Sa’ad said that the duration of the apparently short distance from Kano metropolis to Bichi appears to have parallelled the hours it took him to travel from Sokoto to Kano due to the nature of bad roads in Kano state.

Sultan disclosed this in an event organized to celebrate the wedding fatiha of the son of Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, Yusuf Buhari, and daughter of Emir of Bichi, Zahra Nasiru Bayero.

“I have suffered a lot before I arrived at the venue of this event from Sokoto. It took me over an hour from Fanisau to this place, all as a result of bad roads,” Sultan tells the audience.

He added that, “When I arrived Kurna, there was heavy hold up of vehicles that I had to divert and follow another route.”

His Eminence, therefore, called upon the Kano State Government to focus on bringing an end to this problem.
