Ibom Air has announced it will resume flight operations to and from Enugu starting Sunday, May 4, following the reopening of the Akanu Ibiam International Airport.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the airline’s Group Manager for Marketing and Communication, Mrs. Aniekan Essienette, expressed appreciation for passengers’ patience during the temporary suspension of services.

“Following the reopening of Akanu Ibiam International Airport (AIIA), Ibom Air is pleased to announce the resumption of its flight operations to and from Enugu, effective Sunday, May 4,” the statement read.

The development comes after the issuance of an official NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) on April 28, confirming that Runway 08/26 at Enugu Airport has been cleared for normal operations.

Essienette further noted that all previously scheduled flights to Enugu from May 4 onwards have been reinstated, and the airline’s customer service team is currently assisting affected passengers with rebooking and travel alternatives.

She reaffirmed the airline’s commitment to delivering safe, reliable, and punctual service, adding:

“Ibom Air remains fully committed to providing the standard of service our customers expect and deserve.”
