Former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, has promised to replicate his performance in the apex bank in Anambra State if the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) elects him in the party’s primary and he subsequently wins the election.

Soludo spoke at Prof. Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre, venue of the unveiling of ‘United Anambra Youths and Women Demand for Soludo’ posters, a body led by the member representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, Hon. Chinedu Obidigwe.

Obidigwe had said while introducing Soludo that no other aspirants could beat Soludo which is why he and United Anambra Youth Assembly (U-AYA) and United Anambra Women Assembly (U-AWA) are strongly backing him.

According to him, his group would raise N250 million for Soludo’s election and would not wait for external assistance.

Soludo said that his tenure at the CBN between 2003 and 2009 witnessed Nigeria’s golden era of economic prosperity.
