FSS 2020 To Hold Q3 Mortgage Sector Virtual Forum

FSS 2020 To Hold Q3 Mortgage Sector Virtual Forum

The Financial System Strategy 2020 (FSS 2020) has announced its next FSS Mortgage Sector Virtual Forum which will take place on Tuesday, September 27, 2022.

This quarter’s forum with the theme, “Mortgage Framework – Creation of Mortgage Foreclosure Issues in Nigeria is scheduled to take place from 10 am to 12am.

Issues to be discussed at the forum centers on housing finance as it relates to mortgage and foreclosure, government policies and regulations, the role of public and private sector in creating awareness to mortgage in Nigeria amongst others.

AIHS CONNECT

The event which will be moderated by the acting director of FSS2020, I. U Hussan will have Mr Abiodun Owonikoko (SAN), Principal Partner, Synergy Attornies as the lead speaker.

Other discussants expected to share their perspectives on the theme of the forum are the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO) of Africa International Housing Show (AIHS), Barrister Festus Adebayo; The MD of Nigeria Mortgage Refinance Company (NMRC), Mr Kehinde Ogundimu; The Executive Secretary of Mortgage Bank Association of Nigeria (MBAN) Mr Kayode Omotosho and the Director, Other Financial Institutions Supervision Department (OFISD), Mrs Nkiru Asiegbu.

The Financial System Strategy 2020, FSS 2020 is the blueprint for engineering Nigeria’s evolution into an international financial centre and developing the financial sector into a growth catalyst that will enable Nigeria’s transformation into one of the 20 largest economies in the world by 2020.

It is being driven by the Central Bank of Nigeria.
