The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the posting of Ambassador-designates to Nigerian Missions abroad.
The posting was announced in a statement by Ambassador Gabriel Aduda, Permanent Secretary of Foreign Affair Ministry.
According to Aduda, induction programme for the Ambassador-designates and their spouses will come at a date to be announced.
The Nation had reported on Sunday five months after senate screening and clearances, the Ambassador-designates were yet to be posted with no communication from the presidency or the ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The terse statement reads: “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to inform President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the posting of Ambassador-Designates to Nigerian Missions abroad. The list includes 43 Career Ambassadors and 52 Non-career Ambassadors.
“With this development, the process of requesting agreement from the prospective host countries has commenced.
“The Ministry also wishes to inform that there will be an induction course for the Ambassador-Designates and their spouses which will hold on a date to be announced shortly to prepare and facilitate movement of the Envoys to their respective Missions.”
