This was revealed in a statement by the Managing Director of FHA, Prof Muhammed Al-Amin. He said while shanties and dilapidated buildings characterized Nigeria’s landscape in the past, the Buhari government is now sinking billions of Naira to provide housing for Nigerians

‘’So far the Federal Ministry of Power, Works & Housing has spent over N100 Billion, the Family Homes Funds is investing over N500 billion, while the FHA, has also spent Billions of Naira, in the provision of housing for Nigerians’’.

Speaking further, he said ‘’For over 15 years, the Federal Housing Authority was poorly financed, but within 3 years of President Buhari the FHA is back on sites building houses for Nigerians’’.

The administration has also initiated and commenced the pilot phase of the National Housing Programme (NHP) in 34 states including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
