Untold Story of Why FCTA Approved Construction of Giant Broom At Abuja City Gate

The FCT Department of Outdoors Advertisement Services (DOAS) has said that The construction of a broom which is the symbol of the All Progressives Congress (APC) near the city gate of Nigeria’s capital, Abuja followed due process.

DOAS is the department in the FCTA empowered to register, authorise, bill, control, as well as collect revenues for advertising and signage within Abuja.

Coordinator of Abuja Metropolitan Management Council (AMMC), Umar Shuaibu, whose office supervises DOAS, the APC, FCT chapter, got approval for the broom to be mounted.

He said it was approved because it is not defacing the city, and also they have been giving other political parties approval to erect their trademarks so long as they agree with the laid down standard.
