President Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrived in Kano on Friday to pay a condolence visit to the government and people of the state following the death of elder statesman and renowned businessman, Alhaji Aminu Dantata.

The visit, confirmed in a statement by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Tofa, was described as a gesture of national solidarity and respect for the legacy of the late philanthropist.

According to Tofa, the President’s presence in Kano underscores the national significance of Dantata’s contributions to Nigeria’s economic and social development.

Governor Yusuf called on Kano residents to welcome President Tinubu in accordance with the state’s customs of warmth, hospitality, and respect for leadership.

“This is a moment of solemn reflection and national respect,” Yusuf said. “I urge all Kano residents to receive the President warmly and in an orderly manner, as he joins us in mourning one of our greatest elder statesmen.”

Authorities have confirmed that necessary security and logistical arrangements have been made to ensure the President’s visit proceeds smoothly.
