By 12:00 PM on Thursday, 7th of May 2020, the Housing Development Advocacy Network (HDAN) will be hosting a webinar which will focus on how the provision of housing can be a tool for economic recovery from the impact of covid-19 and how the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) is riding it out in these peculiar circumstances.

The virtual conference will be one of many being organized by HDAN in May. Notable speakers are billed to speak on the topic, ‘’Covid-19: Housing as a Solution – FMBN Leading through the Crisis.’’

The panelists will include Arc. Ahmed Dangiwa, the MD/CEO of FMBN; Dr. Olabanjo Obaleye, MD/CEO Infinity Mortgage Bank; Hajiya Rahimatu Aminu-Aliyu, Executive Director, Loans and Mortgages, FMBN; Surv. (Rev.) Ugochukwu Chime, GMD, COPEN Group; Mr. Oladapo Fakeye, Group Head, Strategy and Performance Management, FMBN; Alh. Aliyu Wammako, President of REDAN.

The webinar is open to all housing sector stakeholders, public officials and the general public, and here are some of the reasons why you must register to participate:

• The webinar will help participants understand the overall impact of covid-19 on the housing sector. How it has affected the supply and demand sides of housing and how such issues can be managed.

• The webinar will throw a lot of light on the home ownership opportunities and packages of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) and how the general public can key in.

• It will also focus on how the bank is improving these home ownership opportunities to meet with the prevailing circumstances presented by covid-19.

• Authorities from FMBN will speak on the National Housing Fund (NHF) and the concern of its subscribers, especially in a time like this where jobs will be lost.

• The webinar will reveal details about ongoing partnerships and housing projects being executed by FMBN across the country.

• It is going to be a unique opportunity for stakeholders to interact and cross-fertilize ideas on affordable housing delivery in Nigeria.

• Participants will benefit from the knowledge and experience of notable speakers who are active problem solvers in the sector and are ready to answer any question with better insight.

• Being an interactive forum of diverse experts, the webinar will also be an opportunity for FMBN to receive feedback from people, which can help in shaping or reshaping the bank’s strategic agenda during and post covid19.

• Home seekers, investors and interested stakeholders will learn of available opportunities in the housing sector.

• Another great benefit of the webinar is that it is absolutely free.
