The Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, has commenced the installation of solar street lights in his Umaisha/Ugya constituency in Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

So far, he has installed 150 street lights worth N8 million in Umaisha Ward in the first phase of the project.

Inspecting the street light yesterday, the speaker urged his constituents to continue to give him support to enable him to provide more dividends of democracy for them.

According to him, the project will be in phases and will cut across all the six electoral wards of his constituency which are Umaisha, Katapha, Shege, Keyenhu, Dausu and Ugya.

“By God’s grace, the entire project is expected to be completed between the first and second quarters of this year across all the six electoral wards.

“You are aware of what I have done in the areas of education, health, agriculture, youths and women empowerment as well as transportation, among others. They are aimed at touching the lives of members of my constituency positively.

“I want to re-assure you of more dividends of democracy as I will continue to represent you well through sound and quality representation at the state legislature.

“I will continue to key into good policies and programmes that will improve the standard of living of my people, bring development to our constituency, Toto Local Government Area and the state at large,” he said.
