Caterpillars have viciously torn into the magnificent hotel belonging to Tony Adu (popularly known as Tony Kabaka), a fierce critic of the Governor Godwin Obaseki administration, in the state capital, Benin City.

The Edo State Government says the hotel was standing on government land and following a court battle over the legality of destroying the building, which the government reportedly won recently, bulldozers have brought down the buildings without any resistance

Tony Adun had recently vowed to resist any attempts to destroy the hotel while pouring insults on Governor Obaseki.

Kabaka is a feared figure by many in Edo State with a reputation of being a ruthless youth leader. He has sided with the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, in the latter’s ongoing political battle with Governor Obaseki as the Edo State governorship election looms.
