The President who was accompanied by Aigbekaen Osas, Chairman NIESV National Secretariat building committee, the Asst National Secretary, Shola Abeji and other committee members toured and inspected the site to assess the level of work done on the project.

Speaking to Housing News,He said ‘’we came here today to inspect the project and to assess the progress of work done on the project and also assess the quality of work that is being done for us.NIESV is one of the professional groups in the built industry, and we are here to make sure that what we preach and do for others is also being complied with,in our own professional headquarters’’.

Abonta noted that the proposed secretariat building under construction, will be a five storey building when completed, but expressed delight with the fact that within 10 months of the project, two storeys have already been completed.

‘’We are barely 10 months, and we have been able to take the building to the second floor, that means in the next 6 months or so,we will be at the last floor of the building, that is our target. Our next target is that we will begin operating from this building in the next one year’’. He said.

He further expressed satisfaction with the progress of work done and called on the contractors to maintain the standard.

‘’We are not totally novice in construction, because most of us here are project managers, and we have also done projects of this magnitude, and so when we see a good job we know that it is good’’.

‘’And authoritatively on behalf of the team that visited here today, I say that the quality of work is good and acceptable to us’’. Said Abonta.
