Nigeria Infrastructure Debt Fund (NIDF) has announced a profit of N11.79 billion for the six months ended June 30, 2025, marking a 41 percent increase compared to N8.34 billion recorded in the same period of 2024.
The Fund revealed this in its Half Year 2025 Investor Report released on the Nigerian Exchange Limited on Wednesday.
The unaudited financials show that the profit was largely driven by interest income of N10.94 billion from its infrastructure loan portfolio, alongside N379.7 million in net fair value gains and N1.51 billion in other income. This brought the total income for the period to N12.83 billion.
Operating expenses decreased slightly to N1.05 billion from N1.12 billion in the corresponding period last year, reflecting effective cost management.
For the second quarter, NIDF declared a distribution of N5.20 per unit, fully funded by operational cash flows. The distribution, announced on July 9, 2025, has a qualification date of July 2 and will be paid to eligible unitholders on August 1, 2025.
The distribution yield currently stands at 21.85 percent, underscoring NIDF’s status as a consistent, high-yield investment choice.
NIDF’s net asset value rose to N114.39 billion, while total assets increased marginally to N121.13 billion from N120.74 billion at the end of 2024. The fund has 1.05 billion units in issue, with the last traded unit price at N118, translating to a market value of N124.58 billion.
Chapel Hill Denham, the Fund Manager, confirmed that the Securities and Exchange Commission has approved the launch of Series 11 of the fund’s capital raise program. Under this, NIDF aims to raise N40.08 billion to boost investments in infrastructure projects.
As of June 30, 2025, the fund’s portfolio comprised 28 infrastructure investments with a weighted average yield of 20.58 percent, a weighted average tenor of 9.26 years at disbursement, and a remaining life of 6.99 years.
