The Edo State Government has launched a comprehensive profiling initiative targeting property owners within the New City Development Area, previously referred to as Coral City. This effort, spearheaded by Governor Monday Okpebholo, aims to resolve enduring land disputes and streamline property documentation processes

The profiling exercise is set to commence on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, and will continue through Friday, June 13, 2025. It will be conducted on-site in both Lot-A and Lot-B of the development area by relevant state agencies. Property owners are required to present their survey plans or, if unavailable, accurate property coordinates. Government-assigned surveyors will be available to assist in cases where survey documents are lacking.

This initiative follows a recent peace-building meeting convened by Governor Okpebholo with leaders from the Oke-Oroma, Obagie, and Amagba communities. During the meeting, the governor emphasized the importance of stakeholders submitting their documents for verification to facilitate the issuance of Certificates of Occupancy (C-of-O).

The state government urges all affected property owners to cooperate fully with the verification committee to ensure a smooth and successful profiling process.
