Nasarawa proffer solutions on ease of doing business

Nasarawa State government hosted a town hall meeting with stakeholders of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in Lafia yesterday to discuss improving the state’s economic environment.

Governor Abdullahi Sule’s administration, according to Barr Ibrahim Abdullahi, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nasarawa State Investment Development Agency (NASIDA), has implemented reforms to help reduce bureaucratic bottlenecks and improve the ease of doing business in the state.

Such reforms, he added, are targeted at bolstering Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), and the meeting was intended to act as a forum for communicating the state government’s reforms.

He went on to say that the purpose of the town hall meeting was to provide a forum for the Nasarawa State administration to communicate with small business owners in order for the government to better understand their problems and propose answers.

“The purpose of this townhall gathering is to better understand the difficulties that MSMEs face in the state so that we can deliver answers,” he stated. The purpose of the conference is to communicate the government’s reforms and to hear directly from them, as we’ve discovered that a number of policies have been misunderstood by businesses.
