Abbey Mortgage Bank Plc has appointed Mr. Mobolaji Adewumi as the Acting Managing Director of the Bank.
Adewumi was appointed following the resolution of the bank’s Board during an emergency meeting held on the 14th of April 2022.
He is the current ED Finance & Admin of the Bank.
Mr. Mobolaji Adewumi is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the financial services industry. He has a comprehensive understanding of Sub-Saharan Africa.
He earned his MBA (with a focus on finance) from Judge Business School at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom, and his BSc in Management and Accounting from Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife. In 2007, he earned his Chartered Accountant (ACCA) designation.
He worked as an Audit Senior with KPMG from 2006 to 2009 before joining UBA in various roles from 2009 to 2011. Before joining Aso Savings and Loan Plc as Special Adviser to the MD/CEO & Head, Strategy from 2012 to 2015, he worked with Africa Finance Corporation, Egon Zehnder International London Office, and Fairtrade International.
He later moved to First Bank of Nigeria Limited where he was a Special Assistant to the MD/CEO between 2016 to 2019 and later joined VFD as the Group Executive Director Finance from April 2019 to March 2020.
