A Nigerian man has lamented about how Lagosians live in the city – The man identified as Ayo Sogunro noted that Lagos is the only city in Africa where people unwillingly leave their homes around 5 or 6am – Sogunro said Lagos is not a megacity, adding that Lagos is suffering Every Nigerian knows that to live in Lagos is to follow certain rules if you want to survive.
One of the major rules as a Lagosian with a 9 to 5 job, you have to leave the house early if you want to get to work on time. Also leaving early does not guarantee that you would get there on time. There are many more rules to surviving in Lagos city and many have wondered if following the rules is worth it because it still does not guarantee survival.
A Nigerian man, who is a popular Twitter user and a lawyer, Ayo Sogunro, has taken to Twitter to complain about how Lagosians are living. The lawyer said Lagos is not a megacity but a city of suffering.
According to him, Lagos is the only city in Africa where people unwillingly leave home at 5 or 6am daily to get to work within the same city for a small income. The lawyer explained that living in a city like Lagos proves a failure of governance that adds even more hardship to the lives of people.
Sogunro added that good rest is important. He also expressed hope that Abuja and other major cities in Nigeria do not end up like Lagos.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier done a market survey in Mile 12 to find out how traders are selling in Lagos state. The survey showed that traders lamented hard times and economic hardship in the previous year and they revealed that there has been no significant improvement in the general price of goods due to the grappling economy.
