Real estate firm, Lekki Gardens Limited has accused the leadership of Osborne Foreshore Residents Association (OSFRA) of locking the entrance gate to the estate thereby denying its workers and contractors access to carry out their lawful duties.

The company claimed that the action of the residents violated an order of Justice Oyekan-Abdullai of the Lagos State High Court issued on July 1, 2020 directing that Parties in Suit No. LD/9224LMW/2020 to the suit should maintain status quo,

The allegation was made by the chief legal officer and company secretary of  Lekki Gardens Limited,  Steve Agbiboa, while addressing journalists at the gate of the estate yesterday.

Agbiboa alleged that from the early hours of Wednesday, the estate residents ordered the security men to lock the gate and also stationed a mobile police officer to prevent the workers from gaining entrance to the estate.

He said, “We were therefore surprised to get to the estate gate this morning to find out that our staff were denied access because OSFRA locked the gate against the public in its bid to unlawfully deny us access into our site.

“The resultant traffic jam extended to the Osborne, Ikoyi Road, outward Third Mainland Bridge thereby constituting a nuisance to the general public and innocent road users,” he said.
