The Lagos State Government has said the Eko Token Initiative organised in partnership with CashToken Africa will provide opportunities for residents to have landed property.

The state Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Cecilia Dada, made the promise, according to a statement on Wednesday, during the formal presentation of the initiative in Eti-Osa.

She said, “Following the launching of the universal TV patronage cash reward system tagged Eko Token, the programme has impacted the lives of over five million Lagosians.

“The initiative is a partnership for residents to own landed properties with the long-term objective being to ensure that an average of 10 per cent of consumer expenditure is offered back as rewards to Lagosians in a profitable system.

“It was a healthy innovation to complement other initiatives and measures that have been put in place by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration to foster a robust and sustainable tripod relationship involving businesses, government, and the people and provide jobs for citizens.”

A representative of CashToken Africa in collaboration with Realty Invest, Simi Adeoye, said the initiative will create jobs for the teeming population of youths with its kiosks system and also assist organised professionals.
