There was wild jubilation today as Dunamis Church unveiled the Nasarawa and FCT boundary road constructed by the Dunamis Church.

The road, which spanned more than four kilometers has been left in a state of disrepair and has constituted nightmare to cyclists (Okada) and motorists, until the church intervened.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, the Senior Pastor of Dunamis Gospel Centre, DIGC, Dr Paul Enenche said, the church decided to embark on the road project, not to prove any point but as a development agent in any society and as part of its corporate social responsibility.

Pastor Enenche urged the road users, especially, Okada riders to use the road responsibly, promising that the church as an organization will not relent in its corporate social responsibility to the community.

He explained that the church has embarked on road projects in the past, one of which is the road that traversed the old secretariat to Dunamis Area One Abuja and the community around it.

Apart from road projects, he explained that the church has also constructed motorized borehole and blocks of classrooms for many communities, safety helmets for Okada riders and mobility support to the police operating in Garki Area of Abuja.

In a remark, the host chief, Etsu Karu, Dr Lucas Panya Baba urged other organizations to emulate Dunamis Church. He said, apart from the road project, the Dunamis Church has done more in moral buildup of the children in the area.

He praised Pastor Enenche for his humility and milk of human kindness. The paramount traditional ruler used the opportunity to pray for the peace of Nigeria.

Also speaking, the host House of Representative Member, Hon Gaza Gbefwei Jonathan appealed to banks and other profit oriented organizations in the area to emulate the Dunamis Church.

He challenged government to put to good use the people’s taxes, saying that the only way the government can re-enforce the trust of the people is the physical provision of infrastructures and good governance.

Representing the FCT Minister, Mr Dabara Audu, former executive secretary, FCT Christian Welfare Board urged Nigerians to return to God and corporate organizations living up to their responsibility to the host community.

The Resident Pastor of Dunamis Church Boundary Road, Mararaba, Barthelemo Oche, the project executing pastor, thanked the members of the church and residents of the area for supporting the project and urged them to be dedicated to God and remain unrelenting to the service of Nigeria.

Similarly, the Chairman of Okada Riders in the area, the greatest beneficiaries of the project, Ojeka Paul Agbo, thanked Dunamis Church for making life more bearable to the people, especially, Okada riders on the constructed streer.

He said, the road was a huge burden to motorists and cyclists on that axis before the church intervened. He prayed for God’s grace upon the church for more exploits.
