In Lagos, ‘drunk’ man falls from a three-storey building

A 41-year-old man, Irabor Edga, has been confirmed dead by the police after he allegedly fell off a three-storey building in Lagos.

The incident was said to have occurred around 5:30am on Saturday at Esther Adeleke Street, Lekki Phase 1.

It was gathered that Edga was allegedly drunk when he fell from the building while trying to urinate.

He was alleged to have drunk alcohol overnight and was intoxicated at the time of the incident which made him slip.

The man, it was gathered, died on the spot and his body was later evacuated by policemen attached to Maroko Division.

Also, a 29-year-old man, Kingsley Okeugo, allegedly committed suicide on Saturday night at 4, Abimbola Close, Yaba.

Okeugo was said to have been found dead inside his room around 9pm with no marks of violence to suggest he was killed.

Police spokesman, SP Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the incidents, adding that the bodies were evacuated to morgues for autopsy.
He said investigations were ongoing to ascertain the cause of death.
