In a week from now, Christians all over the world will be celebrating Christmas and since the occasion is associated with giving, expenses are bound to be made regardless of the economic situation.

Christmas is a period of merriment especially for children who look forward to getting different kinds of gifts from their parents and family members. And for some parents not to disappoint their children, they will go out of their way to satisfy them.

But then, the thought of the occasion always invoke panic in the hearts of those whose sources of income have been affected adversely by the current economic situation and to enjoy the event with their families may go as far as borrowing which may not be beneficial after the celebrations are over.

It is certainly not a wise decision to spend recklessly this season particularly if you do not have the wherewithal. Just try and live within your earnings to avoid financial stress.

There is no doubt that as several individuals bask in the euphoria of the season, they may end up increasing their purchases, forgetting to stick to their budget such that even items that are not needed are bought.
