The 2022 conference, themed “Sustainable Housing Models to Solve Housing Deficit in Africa,” among other goals, aims to examine the global housing sector’s challenges and constraints as they relate to mass housing production, while developing, implementing, and adopting appropriate strategies to reduce and eliminate homelessness in Nigeria and the African continent at large.

Housing Africa 2022 seeks to shine a spotlight on housing finance, government policies, building and construction materials, technology and design, production culture, land administration system, environmental safety, housing cooperatives, and emerging issues in the aftermath of the global housing pandemic.

Federal and state government housing agencies, international housing agencies, banks, insurance and mortgage institutions, manufacturers, professional housing and construction bodies, senate and house housing committees (National Assembly), and housing research organisations are expected to attend the conference.

The event, which will take place at the Landmark event center in Lagos on Tuesday, November 1 to Thursday, November 3, 2022, will welcome paper presentations designed to address challenges confronting the nation’s housing sector, as well as a special presentation of proven ‘made in Nigeria’ building material products that have positively impacted the housing sector. This initiative aims to promote such local products in order to drive the alternative building materials sector and facilitate affordable housing for low-income citizens.
