Following the resolution of the mortgage sector stakeholders’ forum in December 2021, coupled with the collation of land verification and certification data extracted from the secondary mortgage market, State land registries and the Nigeria Mortgage Refinance Company integrated database, the Financial System Strategy (FSS 2020) has scheduled a roundtable discussion to discuss issues around land tilting and registration processes in Nigeria.

This is contained in a letter of notice sent to the Abuja International Housing Show dated March 18, 2022.

Stakeholders at the FSS discussion forum are also expected to deliberate, align and analyze collated data, provide insights on the challenges associated with land titling and registration processes in Nigeria.

The roundtable discussion is scheduled to hold between 28th and 30th March, 2022 at the Nigeria Mortgage Refinance Company Head Office, Lagos.

The FSS 2020 blueprint, launched several years ago was meant to transform Nigeria’s financial sector into a growth catalyst.

It was also to engineer the country’s evolution into an international financial centre to strengthen domestic access to financial services and making Nigeria a global financial hub.
