The heavy downpour which began around 3:00 am Saturday morning across Ogun State wreaked havoc in four local government areas of the state and submerged the prestigious Obasanjo Presidential Library.

Ota in the Ado-Odo/Ota local government area as well as Ifo township, headquarters of Ifo local government have continued to count their losses following the flood which destroyed properties worth several millions in the affected local government areas.
Our correspondent, who went round the Abeokuta metropolis shortly after the downpour, observed that the second phase of the rain, which earlier started around 3:00am Saturday morning, destroyed several properties which included electronics and personal belongings of some people that were washed away by the flood.
Areas within the Abeokuta metropolis, which included Kuto, Isale -Igbein, Lanfewa,Amolaso, Ijeun-Titun, Ago
-Ijesa, Abiola way, Isale Abetu, Sokori, Igbore, Oke Mosan and Isale Make area, all in Abeokuta South and North local government areas of the state were submerged, as houses located at the popular Sokori River were mostly affected.
