ESTATE OF THE WEEK: How Octo 5 Holdings Ltd is Bridging the Housing Deficit Gap With Affordable Housing

Octo 5 Holdings, rated the ” Estate of the Week” by the African Housing News (AHN) for the second week of September 2021, is a veteran Estate development company in Nigeria with scores of Estates across Lagos, Abuja and other major cities in the country, has as it operational principal the mandate to bridge the housing deficit gap in the country.

In a visit to one of the subsidiaries of Octo 5 Holdings, the Ocean Bay Estate Lekki Lafiaji, Lagos, by the African Housing News Crew, the Head of Design and Development Control of Octo 5 Holdings, Arc. Ariyibi Opeyemi who took the AHN Crew around the Estate, disclosed that Octo 5 is currently carrying out a construction of two blocks of three bedroom apartments, three blocks of two bedroom apartments and a penthouse which sits on top of one of the two bedroom blocks at Heron’ beak in Ocean Bay Estate at Lekki, Lafiaji, Lagos.

While taking a toll on the facilities in the Estate, Opeyemi said that the Estate enjoys a network of good and accessible roads, good water provision facilities, an uncompromising security buildup, recreational facility like a mini five aside football pitch, basketball court, etc. He also showed round the site for the soon to be completed state of the art recreational center within Ocean Bay, called “Swish”, which is a lakeside inside the Estate.
Opeyemi explained that the facility will contain a basket ball pitch, an inborn lake, a track line that will go round the lake for jogging, amongst other areas of recreational and pleasure satisfaction.

In bid towards making this houses affordable and easily accessible to every Nigerian, Octo 5 is introducing a Stow Payment Plan which will avail every Nigerian the opportunity to subscribe with as low as #50,000 to the payment scheme of owning a descent and and affordable home.

Opeyemi who explained this to African Housing News stated that the Stow Application is available in both Android and iOS to make it easily accessible and durable to every subscriber, adding that a campaign will be running soon for a more reboost media awareness.

The Octo 5 Craft Man, while calling on the government to consolidate on their efforts in providing accessible roads to the Estates, appealed to the government to provide single digit mortgage loan facilities to their subscribers and concessions on building material prices to them as developers, so that they can comfortably deliver on their promises and key vision of providing affordable housing to average Nigerians.
