Encomiums As Femi Adewole Retires As MD, Family Homes Funds Ltd

Seniors Stakeholders and Professionals in the Housing and Construction sector have poured in encomiums on the distinguished and enigmatic Femi Adewole as he retires as Managing Director of Family Homes Funds Limited.

Africa Housing News reported that Mr Adewole, an international housing finance professional and architect, is leaving the FHFL after attaining the mandatory 60-year retirement age for Nigerian civil servants. His retirement was approved by the Board of Directors of the FHFL chaired by Suleiman Barau.

Stakeholders in the housing sectors have since been celebrating Mr Adewole and his achievement as MD of Family Homes Funds Limited.

A Former Managing Director of the pan-African finance institution – Shelter Afrique and chairman Board of Trustees, Real Estate Development Association of Nigeria (REDAN), Prince Oluseyi Lufadeju described Mr Adewole as a great achiever and patriot, adding that he has given FHFL a solid and enduring foundation.

His words, “Big congratulations to a great achiever and patriot for giving the FHF a solid and enduring foundation. I’m very proud of what you have brilliantly done within a short period of time.

“Your leadership qualities and legacies will stand the test of time. Well done Femi, and God bless and guide your future endeavors.”

Also, the Founder and CEO of Eximia Realty Company and Chairman of the Board of Lagos Building Investment Company, Mr Hakeem Ogunniran congratulated Mr Adewole on how he delivered outstanding results during his tenure as MD of FHFL.

He said, “Congratulations to Femi Adewole for a positioning FHF firmly and delivering sterling results within such a short time. The spectator is always the best player. We all know the challenges of this industry.

“The scorecard of FHF under Femi signposts the critical ingredients of success and excellence- courage, zest, guts, integrity and unparalleled executional capacity.

“As we say in law, would say “Res Ipsa Loquitor”! Individual prejudices pale into insignificance in this type of situation. I’m sure the industry will give Femi the celebration he deserves!”

Mr Martin Dada, a professor of Building, University of Lagos, sharing similar sentiments said, “The Femi I know is an achiever, a pace setter, one that wishes Nigeria well. He doesn’t make noise but goes for results. We must celebrate our own.

“He has shown a model of how things can work. We hope others build on his achievements and legacy in FHFL. I wish him a very happy, restful and fruitful retirement.”

In the same vein, the Cofounder, Alitheia Real Estate, Olajumoke Akinwummi said, “Running a quasi-government agency comes with an additional layer of challenges that fight a daily battle against the achievement of outcomes for the benefit of society.

“Femi has demonstrated that the critical ingredients of integrity and personal accountability (where competence & capacity is given) make the difference. Facts/data don’t lie.

“Mr Femi Adewole, I’m very proud of you! Well done and thank you. Wishing you far more outstanding years ahead.”

Mr Amos of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH GIZ said, “A standing ovation to a patriot, a seasoned professional, a true gentleman and a trail blazer! As you honourably bow out in retirement, you stand celebrated now and for years to come.

“Retired but not tired; continue to keep the flames of affordable/social housing aglow as you are cheered on to greater endeavours. Respect!!!”

Mr Adebisi Ebenezer, a former Marshall at the Federal Road Safety Corps , “Congratulations to my dear friend, colleague and a family member for the successful tenure as MD of FHF, and for also laying an enduring foundation for affordable housing in Nigeria on the platform of FHF.”

Bridge

Mr Emmmanuel Akinwummi, a former Private Sector Specialist at the African Development Bank said, “ Congratulations to my beloved brother and colleague in national development.
“Not tired, let’s fire on!
“The best in us is yet to come.”

Also, the executive director of Housing Development Advocaacy Network, HDAN described Mr Adewole’s tenure as excellent and one of the best professionals he has worked with in his 25 years experience in the housing and construction sector.
