Housing happens to be an integral part of a nation’s development. Without mincing words, it’s believed that no housing industry can thrive without fund, hence the establishment of different housing finance institutions to effectively drive the activities, visions, and goals of the housing sector.

It is on this premise that the CityCode Mortgage Bank Limited was established in 1992 as an accredited Primary Mortgage Bank (PMB) for the National Housing Fund (NHF) and a subscriber to the recently created Nigerian Mortgage Refinance Company Plc (NMRC).

CityCode Mortgage Bank provides mortgage loans and assist customers in accessing the National Housing Fund Loan through the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria.

Controlling the affairs of this reputable organization is Mr. Ebilate Mac-Yoroki, a housing expert and economic juggernaut.

Mr. Ebilate Mac-Yoroki is an accomplished stockbroker and a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Stockbrokers (FCIS) since 1991. He is also an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (ANIM). He is an alumni of the Harvard Business School, Boston, USA. where he completed a program on Driving Corporate Performance. He is also an alumni of Fannie Mac, Washington, USA.

He obtained his B.Sc. Degree in Accountancy from the University of Science and Technology, Port-Harcourt in 1984; and a Master degree in Strategic Management from Olabisi Onabajo University in 2000.

He started his career with Akinola Akintunde & Co., a firm of Chartered Accountants and served there from 1985 to 1988; after which he moved to Wintrust Limited, Lagos, as a Member of Nigerian Stock Exchange from 1988 to 1991 as Director, Corporate Finance.

He is a founding Board member of City-Code Trust & Investment Company Limited. He sits on the board of several companies including The NGX-Regulation (formerly The Nigerian Stock Exchange).

He is also the Chairman, Karinax Nigeria Limited (a Shipping Company), and Chairman of Pavilion Developers Limited, a prominent Estate Construction/Developing Company in Nigeria.

Mr. Ebilate Mac-Yoroki was appointed as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of CityCode Mortgage Bank Limited in the year 2014, licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria.

The Bank under his watch has transformed into a global brand. In 2021, it won the Mortgage Bank of the Year and CEO of the Year at the Africa Housing Award in Abuja. Currently, he is serving as the president of the Mortgage Banking Association of Nigeria (MBAN).

Mr. Mac-Yoroki is known for his outstanding leadership qualities, astute managerial style, patriotism, determination, selflessness and his strength of character to use his office and indeed, his all, for the achievement of the good of the majority. Also known for his doggedness, he derives pleasure in growing others as well as see people prosper under him.

Viewed from whichever standpoint, his antecedents and line of achievements in the nation’s housing sector have singled him out, hence, dims him worthy of recognition and due acknowledgement.
