A cholera outbreak has led to the deaths of four individuals in Bokkos Local Government Area (LGA) of Plateau State, with several others hospitalized. The affected communities include Hurti, Bokkos West, Bokkos Central, and Mangol.
The Chairman of Bokkos LGA, Hon. Amalau Samuel, confirmed the incident and stated that the Primary Health Care Department, in collaboration with local cottage hospitals, is actively addressing the situation.
Residents are urged to adhere to hygiene practices such as regular handwashing, consuming clean water, and maintaining a clean environment to prevent further spread of the disease. Health authorities are closely monitoring the situation and providing necessary medical care to those affected.
