BREAKING: Governor Makinde Presents N266.6b Budget Of Continued Consolidation For 2021

Ibadan- Engr. Seyi Makinde Makinde, the Executive Governor of Oyo State on Monday, 23rd November 2020 at the floor of the Oyo State House of Assembly presented a N266.6 billion naira budget for 2021 fiscal year and has declared that the budget will meet the expectation of the people of Oyo state.

Speaking at the budget presentation which according to Governor Makinde is titled “Budget of Continued Consolidation” noted that the state has made significant progress in its drive across all sectors.

Makinde highlighted several success recorded in the current fiscal year added that the state government remains bullish in its approach towards consolidating on the its achievements to achieve greater result in the performance of 2021 budget.

He maintained that sequel to the projected 70 percent budget performance in the 2020 budget, the state has however been able to perform fairly above average of 53.16 percent noting that the difference in the projected budget performance level and the recorded performance level was due largely to the novel COVID-19 pandemic.

Makinde said the budget Is N12bn Naira above the the last budget.
