Yobe Sahel Aluminum Company located in Potiskum has fully commenced production after one decade of dormancy.

The General Manager, Mohammed M. B Mohammed, said the Yobe state governor had some months ago granted approval and released of N97millon to resuscitate and upgrade the company.

“With the release of the N97million; we have acquired 2 sets of 100 KVA Perkins Generators, corrugating machines among others.  Some machines and tons of raw materials are being awaited from China, and when that is done, we can reach the maximum expected production level.

“Already we have supplied over 3,600 meters of roofing sheets to General Hospital Kumaganam and 9000 square meters to the proposed NYSC camp under rehabilitation.  So we are fully ready and up to the task” he said.

Governor, Mai Mala Buni had during his inaugural speech in May, 2019 pledged to resuscitate all the government own industries in the state to create jobs and also to increase the Internally Generated Revenue in order to boost the economy.
