146 Trucks Have Arrived Abuja To Ease Fuel Scarcity -NNPC

Published on

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd has said 146 trucks have arrived Abuja to deliver petrol to douse the scarcity in the nation’s capital.

There have been queues at retail stations, with the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, NMDPRA, blaming it on the flood in Kogi.

NNPC said the fuel queues being experienced in the Federal Capital Territory and its environs is set to disappear.

The Group Executive Director, Downstream of NNPC Ltd, Engr Adeyemi Adetunji, said in addition to the arrival of the 146 trucks, the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing is rehabilitating 10 sections of the damaged Bida highway in Niger state, linking the north to the west.

Adetunji also said products delivery to other parts of the country are ongoing as more vehicles now move up north after a relief in the Kogi flooding.

The Lokoja highway links the south and west to the north where petroleum products are lifted from the coastal depots after petrol, especially is imported by NNPC Ltd.
