On Monday, council officials and youths from the villages led Mr Godwin Tepikor, Zonal Coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), South South, and his staff around the affected districts.

The crew visited the impacted communities of Bewbone, Abonkib, Bebuagbong, Igwo, and Okworutung while in the Obudu local government.

According to Tepikor, the inspection tour was prompted by a’save our soul’ complaint from Mr Boniface Eraye, Chairman of Obudu Council Area, following a windy occurrence on April 12, 2022.

In the Obudu local government district, the disaster affected 503 homes and damaged 249 buildings and other household property.
