The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) on Sunday commenced a controlled demolition’ at the site of the collapsed building in Ikoyi.

According to reports gathered, LASEMA workers were spotted ripping the estate entrance structure apart with an excavator on Sunday afternoon.

According to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the other two towers at the collapsed building site should be left untouched for “ageing analysis”.

Recall that on Monday, the 21 storey building collapsed killing the owner and developer, Femi Osibona and 40 more people, with dozens buried under the rubbles.

The search is still ongoing to recover the remaining bodies from the debris.
