FEC Authorizes Rehabilitation of the Keffi-Nasarawa Road For 36.13 Billion Naira

Babatunde Fashola, the Minister of Works and Housing, made the announcement on Wednesday while briefing State House reporters following a federal cabinet meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa’s Council Chambers in Abuja.
Messrs. Wiss Shinu Engineering Limited, he said, had been granted the contract.
Hadi Sirika, the Minister of Aviation, said the council authorized N5.65 billion for the three-year maintenance of air terminals in Abuja and Port Harcourt.

The council also agreed to spend N469.6 million on L3 xray machine parts for clinics at Abuja, Kano, and Lagos airports.

The council authorized the increased projected total cost of a contract for the extension of the Outer Southern Expressway in the Southern section of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to Messrs Salimi Nigeria Limited, according to Minister of Information and Culture Lai Mohammed.
He stated that the contract augmentation sought and authorized was in the amount of N1,349,223,700.75, bringing the entire contract sum to N18,577,933,348.05. He predicted that the contract will be completed in a year.

The council also approved a revised cost for the National Digital Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center in Abuja, which is now under 45 percent complete due to rising costs of crucial supplies, according to Mohammed.
